Mannheim Steamroller debuted the first “Fresh Aire” album in 1974; called a “revolutionary achievement” that is an inventive blend of classical themes with pop elements.  Composer Chip Davis dubbed it “18^th Century Rock-n-Roll.”  Over the next three decades, the Fresh Aire series grew to include eight albums, each of which explore topics--from magnificence of the four seasons, to man’s curiosities about the world in which we live.

Mannheim Steamroller is an ever-changing consortium of musicians, technicians and engineers using state-of-the-art equipment to create Mannheim Steamroller’s signature sound. The musical performers will be 15 in number including 10 local, professional musicians as orchestral accompaniment. Final casting for the core Mannheim Steamroller band has not yet been announced. (Founder Chip Davis is currently in Omaha developing a series of concerts for the Space Foundation in support of NASA’s space program.)
